TCG World, an innovative online virtual community sandbox, has recently joined forces with Chooky Records, a groundbreaking blockchain music label, in order to introduce popular music from O.T., Elesia Iimura, and Busta Rhymes to the metaverse.
The initial outcome of this collaboration between the two companies will be the official debut of the music video for the hit song “Chooky” by the aforementioned recording artists in the TCG World metaverse. According to a press release issued by TCG World, this marks the first time the animated video will be available to the wider metaverse audience.
As previously reported by Cointelegraph, TCG World was launched in 2021 as a metaverse that offers virtual real estate, Web3 collectibles, and a platform where almost anything can be traded as a nonfungible token (NFT). During its launch, it proudly claimed to be the first 4K VR low poly game and the largest one on the BNB Smart Chain blockchain.
Chooky Records, on the other hand, is a unique record label that combines digital music with NFTs to create hybrid and tokenized entertainment experiences. The label achieved great success in 2023 with the viral hit “Chooky,” performed by Nigerian artist O.T. and Australian/Japanese artist Elesia Iimura.
Busta Rhymes, a highly acclaimed recording artist with platinum-selling albums and a career spanning five decades, including his noteworthy contribution to A Tribe Called Quest’s influential hip hop track “Scenario,” lent his vocals and appearance to the “Chooky” track for its audio visualization in November 2023 and the immersive TCG World metaverse experience.
Although Chooky Records is relatively new to the independent music scene, its infrastructure has received praise from the music community. According to the Chooky Records white paper:
