Fetch.ai, a crypto artificial intelligence project built on Cosmos, has set aside $100 million for its infrastructure program, Fetch Compute. This program aims to enhance the capabilities of developers by providing them with additional tools, computing power, and training opportunities. It will also offer GPU credits to its users.
Fetch Compute will utilize Nvidia H200, H100, and A100 GPUs to create a platform that developers and users can leverage for computing power. The funding for this initiative will come from the Fetch.ai ecosystem fund.
The project believes that Fetch Compute will accelerate innovation within the Fetch.ai ecosystem by enabling the exploration of complex models and solutions. Starting on March 7, users who stake Fetch.ai’s native coin, $FET, will earn Fetch Compute Credits as rewards. These credits can then be used to pay for GPU utilization on the Fetch Compute network.
Humayun Sheikh, the CEO of Fetch.ai, expressed his confidence in the project, stating that the combination of substantial compute resources and their unique compute credit system will provide the necessary support and tools for the community to bring their AI projects to life. Currently, Fetch.ai’s infrastructure consists of the search-based AI DeltaV platform, which matches users with computing services using large language models and AI agents.
In recent news, AI tokens, including Fetch.ai tokens, have experienced significant gains, coinciding with the strong performance of chip-maker Nvidia in Q4 2024. Nvidia reported revenue and earnings of $22.1 billion and $12.3 billion, respectively, representing year-over-year increases of 265% and 769%. This surge in demand for computing and generative AI has contributed to the success of AI tokens.
Fetch.ai has also recently formed a partnership with Deutsch Telecom, who will join as a corporate partner and a validator for the Fetch blockchain.
In summary, Fetch.ai’s allocation of $100 million to the Fetch Compute infrastructure program is set to enhance the capabilities of developers and users by providing additional tools, computing power, and GPU credits. The project aims to accelerate innovation within its ecosystem and has experienced significant gains in its token value. Additionally, Fetch.ai has secured a partnership with Deutsch Telecom.
