MultiversX, a distributed blockchain network, has recently unveiled an innovative blockchain education program in collaboration with Cornell University’s eCornell. This initiative, known as the Blockchain Essentials Program, aims to provide 100 underprivileged college students with a two-month learning experience resulting in a valuable certificate upon successful completion.
According to a press release from MultiversX, the program is fully sponsored, meaning that students will not be required to pay any fees to participate. The official website for the initiative reveals that the regular cost of the course is $3,750.
The Blockchain Essentials Program will be conducted online through private cohorts, ensuring that students receive personalized attention and are part of a supportive learning environment. One of the most exciting aspects of the program, as highlighted in the press release, is that students who complete it will have the chance to receive mentorship, support, and funding from MultiversX to develop blockchain projects that can positively impact their communities.
Scheduled to commence on July 17, 2024, the program is currently accepting applications until June 23, 2024. Applicants must be current college students, demonstrate English language proficiency, and be facing economic hardships. Only 100 individuals will be selected to participate.
Beniamin Mincu, the CEO of MultiversX, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of empowering students through blockchain education.
In other news, MultiversX has introduced “Sovereign Chains,” a cutting-edge multichain, modular, integrated blockchain development platform. This innovative solution has the potential to significantly boost transaction throughput on existing layer-2 blockchain networks, increasing transactions per second (TPS) and smart contract TPS by up to 100 times. During its initial demonstration, Sovereign Chains achieved an impressive throughput of 77,000 TPS, with plans to reach 100,000 TPS in the near future.
